The Mild Brain Injury Program at the Sandra and Malcolm Berman Brain & Spine Institute and Sinai rehabilitation center is designed to medically manage those who have sustained a recent brain injury, and work with those whose long-standing mild brain injury symptoms have not been resolved. The best outcomes occur when the injury is treated immediately, and consistent follow-up occurs.
The Mild Brain Injury Program is a natural extension of the exemplary brain injury programs at LifeBridge Health. These programs, like the RETURN! Community Reentry Program at the Sinai rehabilitation center, are meant to help patients who’ve experienced brain injuries regain their sense of agency. Mark Huslage, LCSW-C, coordinator of brain injury programs at LifeBridge Health, says that the program targets many Baltimore-area residents who need specialized care.
