Teflon Toxic?

Posted Sep 14 2008 6:14pm

I think that people are wising up to the fact that "better" doesn't always mean better. Could it be because more that half of Americans have some sort of chronic health condition and all their docs can do is write scripts to mask symptoms? After all, basic logic dictates that SOMETHING must be causing these chronic conditions.

If there is an effect, there must be a cause!

Non-stick Teflon obviously makes cooking and clean-up much easier (not that I do much of either), but is it safe? A class action suit was filed that claims it is not and DuPont knew about it 20 years ago. DuPont, of course, denies this.

Since 1987, I have been reading everything I could get my hands on to try and figure out what was wrong with me. "Toxic Teflon" is a theory that I subscribe to, but I don't think it has been a major issue for me. (Skip ahead to page 12 of this pdf to read what I believe have been my major issues.)

We'll see what happens.
