Simple way to prevent injury. If your workout is 30 mins or an hour always include 5-10 minutes of stretching in that block. Your body will thank you and be able to maximize performance. Also, try to "roll out" your muscles with the foam rollers at the gym. They work wonders. The more flexible you are the more your body is capable of.
