stomach pain after eating, dull throbbing pain in left armpit

For the last few months, every once and a while I will get these horrible stomach pains after eating. The pains are intense and feel like I have been punched or stabbed in the stomach. Usually the pain is more intense on the left side of my abdomen. Along with these pains come a  dull throbbing pain in my left armpit. Any ideas on what this could be?
