St. John's Hospital, NIU Student Nurses Recognized as 2008 Lifesaving Partners

The Northern Star ran this mention (also below) today of Gift of Hope's recognition of NIU's Student Nurses Organization as a 2008 Lifesaving Partner for their hard work and dedication in registering over 400 students during Donate Life Illinois' 2007 Campus Challenge .
The State Journal-Register also did a mention earlier this week of St. John's recognition as a 2008 Lifesaving Partner as well.
The 2008 Lifesaving Partners award ceremony will take place on April 24 in Oak Brook.

The Northern Illinois University Student Nurses Organization has been recognized by the “Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.” The organization was named a 2008 Lifesaving Partner for “outstanding achievement and teamwork in raising donation awareness and registrations,” according to the press release. More than 480 Illinois residents were registered to the Illinois’ organ/tissue donor registry because of the organization’s work. It was the highest total registrations among the 20 colleges and universities who competed in the 2007 Donate Life Illinois Campus Challenge. An awards ceremony will take place in Oak Brook on April 24.
