Spinal Decompression and Chiropractic Work Well Together

I have been practicing "hands-on" chiropractic for over 16 years in the SF Financial District. Recently, we relocated...across the street to The Embarcadero Center. We changed our name also, from Front Street Chiropractic to Executive Express Chiropractic.
About three years ago after many months of research, I decided to purchase a nonsurgical spinal decompression machine so I could help patients with lumbar disc herniations that did not respond to chiropractic care. The decompression machine I purchased is called a DRX9000, and is manufactured by Axiom Worldwide.
Then, about nine months later I purchased a DRX9000c, so I could treat cervical disc herniations and chronic neck pain...again, patients that were not responding to traditional chiropractic. Then I purchased another DRX9000 lumbar machine.
Something interesting happened along the way. We discovered that often times the spinal decompression therapy would enhance the chiropractic care and vise versa.
We started mixing and matching and doing combinations of chiropractic treatment and nonsurgical spinal decompression together...and the results were excellent.
Sure, we don't do this with everyone...but if cervical or lumbar spinal decompression alone, or chiropractic care alone...is not giving us the results we are after...we give it a shot...and often times it works.
Heck...why not? Both chiropractic and spinal decompression are gentle, non-invasive, and seek to restore normal function. Both are designed to help the body move back into a more normal spinal alignment and function so the body can heal itself...they work well together.
