Sinai Materials Management Team Holds Ice Cream Fundraiser to Support United Way

Print this entryOn Thursday August 11 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sinai Hospital employees got to divulge in a tasty treat to support a good cause. The Materials Management Team, the team responsible for ordering and delivering the medical and surgery supplies and capital equipment for LifeBridge Health, decided to satisfy everyone’s mid-summer sweet tooth.
To springboard off Sinai Hospital’s United Way Kickoff Event, team captains for the purchasing department Shermaine Pollard and Sheryl Hoover thought it would be a great idea to not only give employees the chance to eat ice cream, but to also support the United Way. The United Way is a coalition of charitable organizations that helps raise funds for local communities.
The “cool” event took place in the Materials Management Conference Room. For $1 per scoop employees could get unlimited free toppings, and for $3 they could get a banana split with free toppings. Toppings included ...
