Rockford Heart Transplant Recipient Meets Donor's Family

The Sun-Times ran an excellent cover story yesterday about Rockford heart transplant recipient Brian Troy who had the unique opportunity to meet his donor's family last month.
I had the chance to meet Brian last April at Secretary of State Jesse White's press conference announcing his annual commercial touting organ/tissue donation, which features Brian . It was amazing to see how grateful Brian is for having a second chance and great to see that his donor's family has found some peace in knowing how their son helped save the life of another human being.
