Risk of Diabetes Increases with Psoriasis

A new study published in the April issue of the Archives of Dermatology found that women with psoriasis were more likely to develop diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure). Lead author, Dr. Abrar Qureshi, and colleagues studied 78,061 women from the Nurses’ Health Study II. Of the women in the study, 1,813 had a diagnosis of psoriasis and none of the women had diabetes or hypertension at the start of the study. Continue Reading »
