Preventing Morning Sickness
Is Cocculus Compositum safe to take for morning sickness during pregnancy? My doctor has me taking prescription Zofran but I am looking for a more natural remedy.
Hi Elisabeth -
Cocculus Compositum is not what you need for morning sickness. I do not think it will benefit you.
Instead of Cocculus Compositum, I recommend you add 25 tablets of Natrum Sulph 6x Cell Salts to 1 liter of filtered water. Drink throughout the day. Natrum Sulph 6x Cell Salts is indicated for nausea and vomiting. Take Natrum Sulph 6x Cell Salts daily as long as you experience nausea and vomiting.
For morning sickness, I suggest you consider
- Eat protein snacks more regularly -helps many with morning sickness.
- Consider sucking on real Ginger candies or drinking 1/2 strength Ginger tea.
- Your liver is processing a ton of hormones right now which requires a lot of nutrients. Supply your liver with healthful foods such as broccoli, cauliflower, artichokes, garlic, beets, carrots, onions and kale.
All of these foods help the liver process excess hormones which cause nausea.
- Shower Chlorine Filters are also a need as the chlorine gas gets inhaled from warm showers. The chlorine gets into your blood stream and into baby’s blood stream. When you are initially pregnant, you become, as you likely know, highly sensitive to smells. Chlorine is no exception.
Besides benefiting your baby by eliminating chlorine, you will notice less itchy skin, less dry skin, nicer shinier hair and no chlorine smell on your skin.
