Imagine this. Milking a cow and then gulping down a big ladle full of the stuff. Gross! Yet, some people do it. But health officials warn that raw milk, as it’s called, is a prime spreader of food-borne illnesses and that’s why the FDA has cracked down on the sale of raw milk. In fact, 26 states already prohibit the sale of raw milk for human consumption.
I’d puke too!But you’re kind of confused here. I’m betting that the milk that made you puke was Pasteurized milk not whole grass-fed raw milk. There is a HUGE difference.
All the studies you cite on dairy are for pasteurized milk not raw.
There’s evidence of human cultivation of raw milk form ruminants (cows, goats, antelop, ox etc ) from over 3o thousand years ago.
If you’re of European history you’re ancestors have been consuming it for at least 10k years.
“Cows are hosts to nasty things like E. coli, Salmonella and Listeria;” Yes they do and so do you! Good bacteria fights bad bacteria. The good bacteria aklong with proper handling in raw milk is what mitigate any harmful bacteria and enhance the good.
