I have been taking 1/2 of a 7.5 pill at a time, four times a day for pain. I will be taking a pre-employment drug test in a few days. If I took the test now, would my results show a positive result? If so, how long would I need to wait before taking the test to have negative results?
Although I have a prescription, I prefer not to disclose my script to the testing site or have positive results sent to the HR dept. Is there anything I can do to expedite the cleansing of the drug from my system? Exercise, drinking plenty of water, etc.?
It takes 5-7 days to get out of your system. It looks alot better on you if you disclose it before hand. You said you have a script so you are fine, companies will not hold that against you. But, if you get a cleansing kit, you can forget about getting the job. They have tests to detect that and that is showing them that you are trying to hide something. To sum up let them know what your on and prove it and get the job or get the cleansing kit when it is not needed at all and screw up your chance on getting that job that you want. most employers will understand about the pain thing. i worked for walmart and they said that if you have the script for it it would be fine... just have to let them know what scripts you are on. the main drugs they're looking for are the illegal ones, but if you have more of the pain meds in your system than is called for on your script they might think that you're addicted. so i would suggest only taking the amt that's on your script and disclose to the facility that you have a script. they can't not hire you just because you have to take a lil pain meds every once in a while. if they could or could fire you because of it then half the ppl i know wouldn't have jobs.
