Prudence M.D. (the blog) is fortunate enough to be included in the list of finalists for the category, Best Single Blog Post (Commentary), with the post “ The Problem of R.A. 9439 ” written on my birthday, last year.
For those who may not yet know, The Philippine Blog Awards, which have started in late 2006, aims to give recognition to notable Filipino-owned blogs in their respective niches, from arts and culture, technology, politics, to entertainment. It has become the venue to showcase different Filipino blogs that brings impact not only to the country but also around the globe.
Health/Medical blogging has yet to flourish, in terms of being recognized by an award-giving body. Noticeably, there are only few health-related blogs/ blog posts that are included and definitely no separate category for health/medical blogging (I think it may have been included in the lifestyle or commentary category).
Hopefully, in time, there’ll be more of Filipino medical blog posts/bloggers next year enough to have our own separate category.
