Dear Kathi,

While hot flashes can be so intense that we get headaches and even feel like we are going to die, you have other symptoms that I don't usually associate with menopause per se.  Chills, achiness, the thirst, etc. sound like you need to be checked out by a health care practitioner.  I'm not sure if Zoloft could be contributing to your feeling so badly, so you can ask your physician about it.

Be sure to have your thyroid hormone, blood glucose, and blood pressure checked when you see your MD.

Good luck - please let us know what you find out.
