One thing I would like to know at the Doctor’s office

Whenever people go to a doctor they want to know:
#1 What is wrong with me
#2 How bad is it
They always want to know, how long will it take, how much will it cost, and can you help me, but we are not going into those areas today.
The reason I address this today is that most people think they are healthy. Their definition of health is: I am upright, breathing, I can feed myself, I don’t have a disease, I’m not in the hospital, and I have some symptoms, but who doesn’t? America’s health is often view from the outside-in. If I am sick I should take a drug. If I don’t want this disease I take this vaccination. etc, etc, etc.
The country the belief has come that if you are not physically sick and incapacitated than you must be healthy. In fact, health is more than just the absence of disease and illness. Health is waking up every day feel great, having the energy to be able to do what you want, and being able to function every day without symptoms of any sort. In fact true health is so far past symptoms even the slightest bit of muscle contraction can stimulate a need to find out why. True health is from the inside-out. Learning to listen to what your body is saying. Being so in tune with your body’s function you can’t be help to notice when “something is just off”. Which would signal a need for correction far before any tests would show. Health lies in the area before blood tests, urinalysis, X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans, or PET scans. Health is before disease. Health is something that is a lifestyle, not a condition.
I challenge everyone to become so healthier starting today. Take serious the life you want to live and how long you want to be here. Do what is takes to be the healthiest person you know. I am willing to bet that if you care about your health now, when you get older you will be able to do and enjoy your life to the fullest. Now that is how to live!
