November is American Diabetes Month – Learn More at the Diabetes Resource Center at Sinai

More than 25 million people in the United States live with diabetes. If they don’t take care of themselves, they are at risk for blindness, heart disease, stroke, limb amputation, nerve damage and kidney failure. November is American Diabetes Month. If you have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, don’t wait until you are in trouble; take the necessary time to educate yourself now and, in turn, save anguish later. The Diabetes Resource Center at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore can help. It is offering assessments and survival skills classes to show you how to thrive with this disease. A registered nurse and a registered dietitian offer one-on-one assessments that determine the needs of the patient, regarding survival skills and meal planning. Each is one hour long.
