Not All Yahoo Answers Are Helpful For The Vasculitis Patient

I came across the following question over at Yahoo Answers …
My aunt has just diagnosed with vasculitis, she cant move and shes in the hospital is she going to cure or what please help!!
and here are just two answers, one I thought helpful and one I was very surprised at…first the vague but helpful answer….
” Some types of vasculitis can be severe, causing damage to major organs. Even when treatment for vasculitis is initially successful, the condition may recur and require further treatment. In other cases, vasculitis may never completely go away and requires ongoing treatment.
Sterroids for the inflammation and medication to control the immune system is usually prescribed.
“
and now the less than helpful and quite frankly, surprising answer…
“ I recommend you to see -> http://www.all-home-remedies.com
I hope that will resolve your problem, keep using answers.yahoo.com “
Now I found this answer quite surprising because it was supposedly answered by a doctor…now of course in this case I have no actual proof that this person is actually a physician..but it certainly makes you wonder…and of course I did leave a comment there, as the question was already resolved…
” Alex, there are many different types of vascular diseases. If your aunt has been diagnosed, you can go to the site http://www.vasculitisfoundation.org/. This is the Vasculitis Foundation site, and you will be able to find more information there about your aunt’s condition. “
Unfortunately there was not enough room in the comment area to leave my blog address.
My personal take here is that this type of answer forum simply does not have enough credible information to address these types of questions, and unless you happen to be familiar with the poster answering the question, the info provided there can only be taken with a grain of salt, and the person asking the question should also seek other avenues of information for a better, informative answer…but I’m just your everyday blogger with CSS…what do I know!
