Northwest Hospital Earns American Diabetes Association Recognition

The American Diabetes Association recently awarded the Diabetes & Nutrition Center at Northwest Hospital an Education Recognition Certificate upon determining that the center meets their high national standards for diabetes self-management education. “This prestigious honor means that the American Diabetes Association recognizes that our certified diabetic educators are highly effective at training their patients to manage their disease,” says Brian White, president and COO of Northwest Hospital. “We’re proud that the members of our community with diabetes can feel confident that by seeking out care at the Diabetes & Nutrition Center, they will gain the tools they need to be healthier through their diet and lifestyle changes.” Recognition was granted after the Diabetes & Nutrition Center at Northwest Hospital voluntarily subjected itself to be surveyed.
