Time to break out the walkin ' shoes again as this Sunday marks the 2008 National Kidney Foundation of Illinois Gift of Life Walk! Each year, this free event welcomes kidney patients, their families and friends, healthcare providers, transplant recipients, organ donor families and members of the Chicago area community to come out and support NKFI's mission in educating the public about kidney disease .
Last year, over 1,200 walkers participated in the three mile walk along Lake Michigan that is followed by a health fair and entertainment!
