Newsflash!

Posted Aug 28 2009 8:18pm
In an utterly unsurprising piece of news, the World Health Organisation has issued a statement warning people not to seek homeopathic remedies for diseases such as HIV, TB and malaria. This was apparently in response to "calls from young researchers who fear the promotion of homeopathy in the developing world could put people's lives at risk."

The best bit of the report is the attempted comeback from Paula Ross, chief executive of the Society of Homeopaths, who petulantly whines, "There is a strong and growing evidence base for homeopathy and most notably, this also includes childhood diarrhoea."

Which makes sense, since their remedies are WATER.
