Follow an article
If a user of F1000Prime follows an article it means he or she will be alerted to new recommendations and dissenting opinions on the article and user comments . To follow an article, click ‘Save to MyF1000/Follow’ on any article page (see below), while logged in. F1000Prime authors – of published papers recommended by the Faculty – will find this feature useful if they’re interested in reading further recommendations on, and user interactions with, their papers. Also, any user who has posted a comment on an article can follow further debate about the article by using this feature.
Follow F1000 Faculty Members
Users interested in the recommendations and comments of particular Faculty Members (FMs) can now follow any FM or Associate FM. Look for the ‘Follow’ option/button on the recommended article pages (e.g. above). Or, click the ‘Follow’ button on any FM’s biography page (found under the F1000 Faculty tab on the main navigation of F1000Prime) – as demonstrated below by one of our FMs of the Year . Following a FM creates alerts every time he or she publishes an article recommendation, dissenting opinion or posts a comment on an article.
Users’ followed articles and FMs can be managed collectively from MyF1000 , the dashboard where all user preferences and email alerts, including searches, are stored.
