In September, I was bitten by a 90-lb. dog. She tore two large gashes in the back of my leg right above the knee. The doctor had to stitch the bites due to the size and severity of the bites, but had to remove the stiches a few days later due to infection. I've had to nurse these bites carefully for 2 months due to the fact that the wounds are open. Been on antibiotics the whole time. Now, when I'm almost healed up, my ankle on the same leg has started swelling. The other leg shows no swelling at all, just the ankle on the leg that was bitten. Doctor ordered ultrasound to check for blood clot, but that came back negative. Any ideas what could be causing the swelling on this leg?
