I am a bit irritated at how my hospital goes about this. We are not allowed to get morphine out of the pyxis, but have orders for nebulized treatments. We have to get the nurse to get it for us. I don't understand why we cannot be trusted to remove morphine from the pyxis, but are still responsible to deliver it.
