Hmmm . . . not sure what's going on. Infection? Abscess (pus pocket)? Simple dryness & irritation from breathing thru your mouth while sleeping due to stuff nose? Bad heartburn? Foreign body (did you choke on anything in the recent past)? Too many things to consider. Tobacco smoke increases your risk for oral cancer. So does HPV (sexually transmitted virus) that more commonly causes cervical cancer in women. Best to go see your family doc for a thorough evaluation. Good luck!
