My left arm has been spasming. Is it just a muscle spasm? What can i do? no pain, just annoying. Will it go away on it's own?

I was in a car accident a couple of days a go. I was stopped and hit from behind hard. I have the usual shoulder and neck aches. My left arm right above the elbow has been spasming pretty frequently-there is no pain there.
