My husband has pain in his left elbow and a sunken in area of bone directly below the area, what could this be?

Posted by bkg54

There is difficulty is lifting the left arm due to the pain in the elbow and there appears to be a sunken in area of the bone directly below the left elbow in one of lower bones.  There was a stumble down the last two stairs of our home over six weeks ago with no obvious injury at the time.  Now the pain is bordering on severe.  He has gout, but has never had an attack in the elbow and says this does not feel like a regular gout attack.

This sounds like it should be examined by a doctor (Orthopedics if you can).  It could be anything from a tendinitis to a stress fracture.
