My hands (on all joints) are swollen and have red bumps? Any ideas?

On all joints of my hands mostly on my knuckles are small red bumps. Once the bumps appear my fingers swell and itchiness from the tightness of my skin occur. they do not itch nor typically hurt until my fingers swell.
