Multiple Sclerosis Fatigue and Coca Tea

Posted Aug 25 2008 6:28pm

I am a woman with MS and today was the kind of day that was taken over by large amounts of fatigue. I spent most of my day after the noon hour being drawn to my pillow and unable to think or function. There was no good reason for this, it is just the nature of the disease and fatigue in multiple sclerosis will hit as it so pleases.

As the evening has worn on, I've been sipping on a cup of Lupi Coca Tea in order to get my brain in gear enough to get on with my evening and get over the sick feeling that sometimes happens when a sleep pattern is out of wack. It's akin to that "sick-to-your-stomach" feeling during jet lag. The classic blahs. Well, coca tea is great for this and it is one of the first things I reach for. I don't reach for the coffee because I am not looking for a caffeine high that will keep me up most of the night. Rather, I benefit from what coca tea can offer:

1) calming my stomach down and easing that "sick" feeling that feels like being hung over or jet lagged.

2) clears my thinking and energizes me enough to get on with the normal activities of my day or evening without worrying about it causing insomnia issues like coffee can.

Cheers!
