mixing prescriptions

Posted by Leaf

I'm 47 yrs old and I have been recently diagnoised as a diabetic and have been taking Actoplus Met 14mg for a few weeks. Initially I went to the doctor with a severe back pain, I had thought I pulled my back but as then was told I had urinary track and kidney infection and was treated with Sultameth/Trimethoprim 800/160 tabs, for the second time in less than a two month period. The doctor has had an ultrasound testing done on my uturus, liver and kidneys, He said that at my next appt which is a month away he will have the results. Last night was so imbarrassing: I wet my bed and this has never happen before, I feel so shameful and most of all embaressed, please tell what or if these medications should be taken together or advise what your thoughts are. I'm really scared and at the same time My doctor is one of those doctors who come in the room and saids it like it is and saids nothing more, I sometimes think he might be a little racist. hate too say that but he has no care. anyhow I in hopes that you might shed some light on the medications I'm taking and possibly tell why I wet the bed. thank you. leaf

It's not at all uncommon to be incontinent when you have a UTI.

Also, if you have a problem discussing things with your MD, it's time to consider getting another MD.
