I am a 33 yr old female and have noticed a medium/large, soft, painless lump in my groin area. I've had it for a few months (maybe longer) and It is not overly noticeable unless I bend back a little. It is beneath the skin and doesn't seem attached to it (not a skin condition/STD/etc). My doctor can't see me for 6 weeks and I'm nervous. Could this be cancer??
I am in good shape/health and work out very regularly. The lump is soft and spongy. No pain/tenderness.
Jackie, My opinion I would call the doctor back ask them to squeeze me in, or tell them you will find a new one. Or to calm your fears try the emergency room (hopefully you have insurance). Lumps are nothing to disregard in women or men. Good Luck!! Please call your dr. one more time.
