Had a fever on/off for a week, went to the doctor on wed (4days ago) when treated with co-arinate - felt better, yesterday not well, today woke with headache and temperature - about 45min/hour after 1st dose of quinine had severe lower back pain & fever/shivers. Dosed with diclofenac and started to settle after about 10-15min, he is now sleeping. Are the shivers & aches normal after quinine?
