LifeBridge Health WINGS Program Joins with United Way for Book Drive

Posted Mar 12 2013 5:00am

In conjunction with the United Way of Central Maryland – LifeBridge Health WINGs (Women’s Initiative Next Generation) – is participating in a book drive for Baltimore Elementary and Middle Schools.

The Weinberg foundation, along with Baltimore Reads , are the primary partners in this initiative which is a multi-year, collaborative effort to design, build, equip, and staff new or renovated elementary/middle school libraries in high-poverty neighborhoods where many students face academic challenges.

This year they are accepting NEW HARD BACK books as well as GENTLY USED books. The NEW books will be for use in the renovated libraries! The GENTLY USED books will benefit Baltimore Reads!
