According to T.S. Eliot, April is “the cruelest month,” but many LifeBridge Health staffers are making October the kindest. October marks the greater Baltimore region of the American Heart Association’s Annual Heart Walk, the annual Save-A-Limb Ride and the Komen Maryland Race for the Cure. These events happened to fall on the same weekend in 2011, but LifeBridge Health staffers laced up their walking (or running) shoes, greased their bike chains and opened their wallets to help those in need.
Heart Walk
The more than 200 members of our LifeBridge Health teams donned red shirts and sneakers to hit the streets and raise funds for the greater Baltimore chapter of the American Heart Association. Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of all Americans, and congenital cardiovascular issues are the most common cause of infant death from birth defects.
