Levindale Speaker Series: Learn About Jewish Food, Culture and Identity

Posted Oct 15 2012 5:00am

The Jewish food you eat today is probably not the food that your grandmother prepared, and it probably isn’t what you cook for your own grandchildren either.

Explore the many meanings of Jewish food choices, and discover how these meanings have changed with the generations. Karen Falk, the curator of the Jewish Museum of Maryland, hosts a free talk that combines a little bit of history with a little bit of reminiscing.

What: The Levindale Speaker Series - “Chosen Food: Cuisine, Culture and American Jewish Identity”

When: Thursday, October 25 at 2 p.m.

Where: Schwaber Multi Purpose Room, Levindale (2434 West Belvedere Avenue, Baltimore,MD 21215)

Please call 410-601-WELL (9355) to register.
