Lavender ( Lavandula angustifolia)
skin irritations: bee stings, abrasions, sun burn
Dose/applications (several times a day or as needed):
For anxiety, depression, insomnia, stress:
Place one drop of Lavender oil in bath water and soak for 15-20min
Place one drop of Lavender oil onto the pillow at night
Rub one drop of Lavender oil into palms. With palms near the nose, inhale deeply 5-10 times.
Massage one drop of Lavender oil into the neck and shoulder muscles.
Diffuse Lavender oil daily in room for 2-3 hours. (must use cold air diffuser)
place 6-12 drops of oil into a vegetable capsule with several drops of olive oil. Ingest 1-2 capsule per day.
For skin abrasions, sun burns, or bee stings:
apply one drop of Lavender oil directly on the affected area.
Irritating to the eyes (oils will remain on the skin after washing with soap and water)
Dilute with olive or sweet almond oil if aroma is too strong
To reduce after-taste form ingesting capsules, freeze capsules first before ingesting.
