Disclaimer: I believe in vaccinations. There are 2 different flu shots as well as an inhaled version. Flu shots are typically given into the muscle, usually the shoulder or deltoid, but there is now an intradermal or into the skin version, too. It's relatively common to have a sore muscle at the injection site but this resolves quickly. However, if he can barely dress himself & walk, we worry about Guillain Barre syndrome.
