Is it possible to break a bone on the top of your foot?

Posted by Ruby_Skye

I dropped a table on my foot at work and i went to the doc a week ago now and she touched it for, honestly all of a second, (she was running an hour behind and I had asked her about something else first) and she said it was a bruise. It has been 4 and a half weeks now since it happened and there is a little lump on the top of my foot that is making it hard to put shoes on! I went to the store to try shoes on and it hurt too much! It is fine to walk on, i don't have any pain but when i sit with my legs crossed or wear shoes or bump it, it really hurts!

Even if it is a break I don't even know if there is anything that can be done due to the location of the pain? It is noticeably a lumpy part. What should I do?

Yes it is possible. My daughter dropped a full sippy cup on my foot and the spout hit directly on the bone. It was broken but was told that the ony thing you can do is ice it and rest it. Keep it elevated. My foot was swollen on the top about as big as a softball. It was very painful for about 6 weeks. I still have off and on pain.
