I have received conflicting information from a pharmacist and an RN (who gives shots) regarding interactions between an oral typhoid vaccine and a shingles vaccine. I will be traveling soon and both have been recommended. The pharmacist claims there is no problem with taking both simultaneously (as there are no health problems). The RN in charge of immunizations says both are live vaccines and should not be taken at the same time or even within a month of each other. Which is correct? If the RN is correct, how much time should lapse between them?
