Impact Exercise Decreases Risk of Fracture & Osteoporosis

Physical activity is the most important factor for the development and maintenance of healthy bones. A study in the July/August issue of Sports Health found weight bearing activities to be effective at increasing bone mineral density and preventing fractures and diseases, such as osteoporosis. It has been know for years that weight bearing activities increase bone mineral density, essentially making the bones stronger.
