Well, thanks for listening to my little whine the other day. All is well now. We had a high-flying day of festivities...a bellydance birthday party and a farewell party (really more like a festival) for our family.

The day was a wealth of celebrating with local friends large and small and connecting with some powerhouses of local small business.

First off, if you're local, please know that James Walch of Stress-Release worked his magic and released my pain. In addition to being an acupuncturist, I have taught massage at several schools and have much experience receiving all types of bodywork. This therapist is top notch and he offers an intro rate of $38, so I encourage you to give your body the gift of this transformational work.

We have been so lucky to take Mother-Daughter Belly Dance class with Sadiya, founder of the Rochester International Dance Studio over the past year. Miel's party was the culmination of a year of loving, body-positive fun and learning.

Then we sauntered on over to the Christy Campground, for an evening of amazing food, a campfire, an outdoor movie, and a private concert by our favorite local band, Brother Music, Sister Rhythm . (Yes, see, there really is a Sister Rhythm for you doubters out there. You know who you are.)

I know...I'm tickled by all of it, too. That's the thing about friends and rich local communities wherever you go...they make it hard for gypsies to travel on. But at least we have this to take with us...

Makes you kind of teary, doesn't it?

Thanks, friends!
