I exercise 4-5 times a week, circuit training. I wear sensible shoes and have been going to a certified nutritionist for 3 months and have lost 15 pounds. I haven't eaten red meat for 8 years, don't drink or smoke or eat sugar. I am a 58 year old female.
My ankles are swollen hard. I have taken furosimide but this does not change the degree of tenderness and swelling in both my ankles. They hurt on the inside of both ankles. The pain wakes me up at night.
Can this be gout? What medical speciality doctor should I see about this problem?
