How soon after contact can I get tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, & Herpes

You should get tested immediatly. You should also go back in a few months and get tested again. And then 1 year later you should go back to be tested again. Some STD's will appear very soon, and some take time to show up.

If it is chlamydia, gonorrhea, or Herpes you have, all sex partners should be evaluated, lab test screening, and treated.  Chlamydia  and Gonorrhea can be easily treated by antibiotics if found in time.


Persons with a STD should abstain from sexual intercourse until they and their sex partners have completed treatment, otherwise re-infection is possible.
