While training a new horse, I had an accident where the horse reared up and came over backwards on top of me. The snow possibly saved my life, and I was lucky that I didn't recieve any bone fractures, just some very bad bruising, and swelling. I took pain killers and anti-inflamatories the first day and a half after the accident, and now, two weeks later, all the superficial bruising is gone, but I have 2 large (2"X3") hematomas, one in my upper left groin area and one on my pelvic bone, where the saddle horn was dragged across me. Is there any way to get these to be absorbed quicker? I feel fine, but these large things get sore if I do a whole lot of anything, as they swell from rubbing clothes, skin etc.
