Healthcare provider interaction

Posted Jan 03 2013 12:00am

I recently had a friend link me this wonderful video on interaction between healthcare providers on the same team. The video looks at having a team leader being “incorrect” in their approach to direct patient care and how the others on the team handled the situation.

This is extremely important for all members of the team, regardless of the initial after their names. Docs, nurses, techs, paramedics and radiographers all need to work together. Medicine should be a team sport and everyone including the patient does better when everyone is looking out for each other. This is the correct way to bring up concerns and address them in a professional manner.

I think it is the duty of ANYONE on the team to voice concerns when they have them and here is how to do it!
