Health Concerns and Treatment for Gynecological Conditions
Posted May 11 2010 12:00am
Gynecological conditions like fibroids and urinary incontinence may be hard to talk about, but new technology available at LifeBridge Health is changing the discussion.
Until recently, women may have envisioned extensive surgery as their only option to treat ailments like pelvic organ prolapse. But minimally invasive and non-surgical options are helping women lead full and active lives.
That's why Sinai Hospital Division of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery head Daniel Kim, M.D., will lead a discussion on "Top Health Concerns for Women and New Treatments for Gynecologic Conditions" tomorrow evening. Women are encouraged to attend the event, which runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Michel Mirowski Medical Office Building, 3rd Floor, Brain & Spine Conference Room, 5051 Greenspring Avenue.
This session is a great chance to ask questions and get answers from a specialist. Dr. Kim will discuss women's health and gynecological issues, as well as talk about the impact of diet and exercise. He will also discuss minimally invasive surgery options for common female conditions such as heavy menstrual periods, fibroids , endometriosis, hysterectomy, uterine prolapse and more.
