Had 2 vitrectomies for a detached retina - now I have headaches everyday. I rarely would get headaches before. Is this normal?

I had a vitrectomy for a detached retina 6 weeks ago. 3 weeks later the retina detached again, so I needed a second vitrectomy, this time with silicone oil. Since the first surgery 6 weeks ago, I have been suffering from headaches every day. Before the surgery, I would rarely have headaches. My surgeon is convinced the eye surgery and headaches are not related. He suggested it's stress. I admit that in the past, I would occassionally get a headache for stress. But headaches everyday for 6 weeks? Is that normal? I was taking tylenol a couple times a days for a few weeks, but now the tylenol is no longer working. Who should I ask for help on this matter? I don't want to take tylenol everyday. Any advice would be gratefully received.
