Many of those that are on a Candida eliminating diet struggle in the area of snacks. It can be easy to find recipes for meals, but snacks can be a another story. Also making something that you can take to a party that everyone will love and something that you can eat on your Candida diet can be challenging.
This salsa recipe is sure to be a hit and will give you a great snacking and party option as you gain your freedom from Candida overgrowth.
These can be adjusted according to how much you wish to make, but this salsa is best if eaten withing three days from preparation. Also for a variation, you can add a medium avocado for a slightly different taste.
Once the first seven ingredients are prepared, combine them and stir, adjusting the cayenne and salt to your taste. Be sure to drain the tomatoes before adding them or your salsa will be too watery. Set aside or the flavors to meld a bit.
Heat the coconut oil in a large skillet or wok. The oil should be very hot. Cut each whole wheat tortilla into 8 triangles. Place the triangles in the hot coconut oil and fry for about a minute on each side. They will be golden brown and crispy when done. Drain them on some paper towels.
Serve the Salsa with the fresh tortilla chips and enjoy.
