I am excited to write this morning. I have been pondering for the last day about a topic. So today you are going to have an introduction into the world of enzyme therapy. Enzymes are small protein molecules that do two things in the human body.
1. They are your immune system
2. They digest your food
The reason enzymes are important is the increasing amount of enzyme deficient food within our daily diets. Anything that is canned, cooked, or processed is void of enzymes. This is important because without proper digestion of food our body becomes challenged to digest that food. Our body becomes stressed when eating an enzyme deficient meal and must use the immune system to make up for it.
Often times an enzyme deficiency shows up with the following symptoms: fatigue, cloudiness in your head, headaches, heartburn, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, insomnia, irritability, generalized achy feeling, stiff joints, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. Those are just a few symptoms of a greater problem within the body.
The solution is not to cover up or address the symptoms, but to find the source of the symptom and eliminate it. Supplying the body with natural enzymes before meals allows for proper digestion of the food that you eat. Once proper nutrition is delivered to the body, the body can heal itself. Of course a change in diet is always a must to deliver proper nutrients and avoid food that is detrimental to your body. ”When the cause is known, the treatment becomes obvious.” -Dr. Loomis
