The WGN crew headed out to Elmhurst to Gift of Hope to catch Tim & Steve at a presentation on organ and tissue donation. The two of them often present together to provide a “full circle” perspective of the issue with Tim talking about the loss of his daughter Sam and the gifts of life she provided others while Steve follows up to speak from a recipient’s point of view.
Last Friday, donor family member Tim Joos and lung transplant recipient Steve Ferkau were featured on a WGN-TV segment called “ Chicago’s Very Own.”
