Does this sound like an IBS attack: itching palms, itching feet, skin turning red, stomach cramps, diarhea, all at once.

Posted by oiseaux831

Woke up about 2 in the morning with anxiety. Palms started itching like crazy. Stomach cramped up and got diarrhea. Then started sweating all over and skin turned red. Breathing labored. Next morning,  very weak and scrotum swelled up more than double size. Does this sound like IBS?

Check out  for the Mayo Clinic's input on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).  IBS typically consists of abdominal pain/cramping, bloated feeling, gas, diarrhea or constipation, and mucus in stool.  I'm not familiar with itching palms & feet plus skin turning red as being typical IBS symptoms.  Breathing usually isn't labored with IBS.  And definitely, IBS shouldn't affect your scrotum, certainly not to cause it to swell up to twice it's normal size.  I would strongly suggest that you get evaluated by your family physician immediately.
